Equivo Advisory Book a 20-min call

Accounting, close and CFO support for US businesses

Books that tie out, every month.

I'm Mayank Bansal, a Chartered Accountant with 11+ years of close, consolidation and reporting work. I clean up QuickBooks, close your month on time and give you numbers you can run the business on, including when you own more than one LLC.

Five problems I fix most often

If two or more of these sound familiar, a Books Health Check is the place to start. See how it works →

01

The bank balance and the P&L tell two different stories.

→ What I do

Reconcile every account, clear the clearing accounts to zero, and send you a short note on what changed.

02

Money moves between your LLCs and nobody writes down why.

→ What I do

Set up due-to and due-from accounts that match on both sides, with a monthly intercompany schedule.

03

Shopify and Amazon deposits never match sales.

→ What I do

Split gross sales, fees, refunds and reserves properly, settlement by settlement.

04

Your CPA's bill goes up every spring because the books are a mess.

→ What I do

Hand your CPA clean, reconciled books before tax season starts.

05

You hear about a cash gap the week payroll is due.

→ What I do

Build a 13-week cash flow that shows the low-point weeks ahead.

What I do, and what you get at the end

Fixed scope, written deliverables, done inside your own QuickBooks and apps.

You get: a model and a written basis you can defend in a negotiation.

Own more than one LLC?

This is the work I've done the longest.

I handled books, close and reporting for 17 European entities of one group, each with its own statutory rules. A US owner with an operating company, a property LLC and a holding company has the same problem at a smaller size.

  • Every transfer between entities recorded on both sides, the same month
  • Owner draws and contributions kept separate from loans between LLCs
  • One consolidated P&L, with intercompany activity removed
  • A schedule your CPA and your lender can follow

A 20-minute call

You tell me what's not working. I tell you honestly whether I'm the right fit, and what I'd look at first.

Step 2

Books Health Check

I review one entity's QuickBooks file for one month and send a written list of what's wrong, what it costs you and what to fix first, in about 5 business days. You keep the report whatever you decide. If you move to monthly close within 30 days, the $299 is adjusted.

Step 3

Monthly close or a project

A monthly retainer for close and reporting, or a fixed-fee project for a cleanup, a model or a valuation.

I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2015 and started on month-end close for 17 European entities of one telecom group. I then spent eight years running finance at a healthcare company: budgets, investor reporting and audits across equity rounds and grant-funded programs. Now I work with US business owners and accounting firms on close, multi-entity books and cash flow. The person on your call is the person doing your books.

How I handle your files

  • 01An NDA is signed before I see a single file.
  • 02Access is through your own QuickBooks and app invites. You can remove it any time.
  • 03I work on your file myself. Nothing is passed to anyone else.
  • 04Working files are deleted when the engagement ends, on your request.

What I don't do

  • ×Sign or file US tax returns, or give US tax opinions. I work alongside your CPA.
  • ×Audits, reviews, compilations or any attest report.
  • ×Sign valuation reports as the appraiser. I prepare the analysis for a credentialed signer.
  • ×Surprise invoices. Business owners get a fixed price before work starts.

Before you book a call

Are you a CPA?

No. I'm a Chartered Accountant, qualified with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in 2015. I handle accounting, close, reporting, cash flow and valuation analysis. Tax filing and audit stay with your US CPA, and I'm happy to work with them directly.

Where are you based?

Udaipur, India. I schedule calls in US mornings, and month-end deadlines are agreed in your time zone.

Which software do you work in?

QuickBooks Online, A2X for Shopify and Amazon, and Excel with Power Query for checks and reporting. If you use something else, ask on the call.

How is the work priced?

The Books Health Check is $299, fixed. Monthly close starts at $450 per entity per month. Projects such as a cleanup, a 13-week cash flow or a model get a fixed quote after the health check, so neither of us is guessing.

Will you be the one doing the work?

Yes. Equivo is my own practice. The person on the call is the person working on your books.

Can you take over from our current bookkeeper?

Yes, usually starting with a cleanup of recent months so the handover starts from reconciled balances.
